A Vancouver, est décédée le 27 juin 2019, à l’âge de 36 ans, madame Claire Mary Rose Robinson (Mememgwaanh Kwe- Butterfly Woman) fille de monsieur Cully Robinson et de madame Dr Jocelyne Robinson (née Mckenzie).
Elle laisse dans le deuil, outre ses parents, ses frères et sœurs ; Jennifer (Arnaud Couillerot), Dave, Randy, Carrie, Mckenzie et Rodney. Son neveu et sa nièce Sophianne et Luca, son parrain et sa marraine Claire Byrne (née Mckenzie) et Joe Byrne, plusieurs oncles et tantes, cousins et cousines ainsi que de nombreux parents et amis.
Madame Robinson sera exposée le samedi 13 juillet 2019 de 19 h à 22 h, le dimanche 14 juillet 2019 de 14h à 17h et de 19h à 22h ainsi que le lundi 15 juillet 2019 dès 9h30 au Complexe Funéraire J.H. Fleury du 515, avenue Chénier à Rouyn-Noranda.
Les funérailles auront lieu également le lundi 15 juillet 2019 à 11h en l’Église St-Jean l’Evangéliste de McWatters et sera suivi de l’inhumation au cimetière de McWatters.

Claire Mary Rose Robinson (Mememgwaanh Kwe- Butterfly Woman) passed away suddenly at the age of 36. Beloved daughter of Dr. Jocelyne Robinson (nee Mckenzie) (Vancouver, BC) and Cully Robinson (Nunavut). Cherished granddaughter of the late Maggie Mckenzie (nee Polson) (1986) and the late Dave Mckenzie (1968). Loving sister of Jennifer Robinson (Arnaud Couillerot), Dave Robinson, Randy Robinson, Carrie Robinson, Mckenzie Robinson, and Rodney Robinson. Dedicated godmother and aunt to Sophianne and Luca Robinson. Beloved goddaughter to Claire Byrne (nee Mckenzie) and Joe Byrne. Claire will be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Claire was an artist, advocate, world traveler, global citizen, fashion model/actress, and inventor (Patent Holder). Claire was always actively helping others as an ambassador, advocate and volunteer. Claire’s accomplishments included being the first First Nation woman to win Miss Universe British Columbia, Canada and a top 12 finalist in the Miss Canada Pageant. Claire modelled around the world in Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, USA, England, France and Canada. These opportunities gave her a platform to join Healing Our Spirit Vancouver and the Miss World Charity tour in China as a national spokesperson in 2004. In 2014, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Film, Video and Integrated Media from Emily Carr University and was recently pursuing studies to become an Art Therapist.
Claire was beautiful, intelligent, selfless, helpful to others, and when she entered a room she was always smiling, ready to laugh and gather with friends and family. Claire had an ability to find the positive in every situation and always found ways to bring out the good in everyone. Claire was active in the community, ran marathons and promoted healthy living.
Visitation will be held at Funeral Complex JH Fleury on Saturday, July 13 from 7PM-10PM, Sunday, July 14 at 2PM to 5PM and 7PM – 10PM, Monday visitation will begin at 9:30AM, at 515 avenue Chénier, Rouyn-Noranda Quebec.
A funeral Mass will be held Monday July 15th at St Jean l’Evangeliste church in McWatters, QC at 11:00 am. Internment will follow at the McWatters Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a reception at McWatters.
