1933-2023

La famille annonce avec grande tristesse son décès soudain au Centre Hospitalier De LaSarre le mercredi 8 mars 2023 à l'âge de 89 ans. Jean laisse son épouse bien-aimé Viviane Levesque, et époux de feu Pierrette Joly (2011). Père aimant de Lyne (Dan) Steeves et Patricia Rose, et beau-père aimant de Rémi Beaupre (Isabelle Cote), Jérôme Beaupre et Brigitte (Marc) Bouvier. Il était le grand-père bien-aimé de Nicholas Steeves, Amy (Jordan) Petherbridge, Emily (Andrew) Olfert et Josee Steeves (Andrew Eng). Il laisse également dans le deuil ses arrière-petits-enfants, ses beaux-petits-enfants, ses nièces et ses neveux. Jean, cher frère de Marguerite Marcoux ainsi que 17 frères et sœurs décédés, était un homme fort et énergique, d'une nature douce et jolie, qui se consacrait à sa famille et à son église.

M. Marcoux sera exposé à la Coopérative funéraire de l'Abitibi du 200, 3e rue Est à La Sarre le vendredi 24 mars 2023, de 13 h 30 à 15 h 30.

Une cérémonie aura lieu le vendredi 24 mars 2023 à 15 h 30 à la chapelle de la Coopérative funéraire de l'Abitibi à La Sarre.

L'inhumation aura lieu au cimetière de Colombourg à une date ultérieure.

The family announces with great sorrow his sudden passing at Centre Hospitalier De LaSarre on Wednesday March 8, 2023 at the age of 89. Jean is survived by his loving wife Viviane Levesque, and beloved husband of the late Pierrette Joly (2011). Loving father of Lyne (Dan) Steeves and Patricia Rose, as well as loving step-father to Remi Beaupre (Isabelle Cote), Jerome Beaupre and Brigitte (Marc) Bouvier. Cherished grandfather to Nicholas Steeves, Amy (Jordan) Petherbridge, Emily (Andrew) Olfert and Josee Steeves (Andrew Eng). Also left to mourn are his great grandchildren, step-granchildren, nieces and nephews. Jean, dear brother of 18 late brothers and sisters, was a strong, energetic man with a gentle and selfless nature who devoted himself to his family and to his church.

Funeral viewing for Mr. Marcoux will held at the Cooperative Funeral Home of Abitibi, 200 3rd Street East in La Sarre on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

A ceremony will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. at the Abitibi Funeral Cooperative Chapel in La Sarre.

Burial will take place at Colombourg Cemetery at a later date.
